Gallagher ran a fine race on seasonal debut to finished 4th in the Jersey, there looks to be a decent prize in this one.
Lovelace deserves plenty of credit for running so well in the Hunt Cup.
Crown picked up nicely mid-race after being badly outpaced in the Queen Mary.
Over at Hamilton, Street Spirit was disappointing but may be worth another chance.
Istiqdaam ran well in the 4.45 at a big price, his shrewd yard will no doubt find a race for him in the north over the summer.
Onto the evening cards where Falcon Rock (6.10 Kempton) was an unlucky 2nd for the 2nd time in handicap company. Was given far too much to do by LPB and although he is 100% straightforward (by Montjeu) he will find a race soon.
Halstatt and Lucky Dancer were disappointing later on the card.
At Ripon, Gioacchino looked to hold a major chance in the seller and looked all over the winner until getting collared late on. There is definitely more races to be won with this horse - perhaps back at Southwell.
