It was all about the evening cards.
Harlestone Snake was very unlucky LTO and made no mistake in a maiden handicap at Goodwood (6.20). Although an easy winner here it was a poor race and hopefully the handicapper will take this into account. And 8lb hike or less would see Harlestone Snake still the right side of the handicapper.
Wellington Square (7.25) kept up Hughie Morrison's good form winning nicely after attracting support. A much improved effort on his seasonal debut and this was much more like his best form last season. Ivory Lace continues to hold her form back in 3rd.
Eastern Aria deserved here success in the 8.00. She is well treated on grass and could find another race on the green stuff soon.
Cape Melody won nicely in the 8.45 at Chepstow and more success looks likely.
Manere Bay did well to finish 3rd in the 9.15 after a slow start and looks a cert future winner off this mark.
