Hatta Diamond was never travelling in the 4.00 at Ripon, a puzzling effort.

The 5.00 was run at a farcical pace which didn't suit Fell Pack.

In the Southwell claimer at 2.45, Flores Sea was positioned wide throughout, although that was not the reason for his defeat. Obe Royal lost his chance at the start under his apprentice rider (jockey change).

Street Spirit looked well handicapped on his debut 2nd at Catterick and ran a cracker to finish 3rd on his handicap debut in the 3.15. He looked to have no chance after finding himself well out the rear after fly-jumping out the stalls. He made up plenty of ground and was going on at the finish. He looks sure to win off this mark and will ideally be tried over further next time out.

Avoir Choisi clearly didn't act on the surface in the 3.45. Fortunate Flame ran ok in 5th and can be competitive in the right grade.

A decent card at Folkstone. Bold Tie (6.20) stumbled slightly around the two pole and wasn't knocked about thereafter. He looks on a fair mark and could pay his way in sprint handicaps this season.

The beautifully bred Mudaaraah was impressive in the 6.50 and she could be decent.

Only fitness could beat Monaadema off her mark of 72 and she landed the odds comfortably enough. It looks as though she will improve for this and there is undoubtedly more to come.
